| Alternative Sentencing Program Descriptions Program I
SOBER LIVING
Sober
living is a structured alcohol and drug free housing environment that
allows residents to go to work or school while adhering to strict Rules
& Requirements of the house.
Designed for sentence residency stays of 60 days to two years. Includes a periodic written compliance report, as may be required by the court, probation, or parole officer.
This program is primarily for women who are summary probation with no requirement of an Intensive Outpatient Program. The House of Hope is not a "Drunk Tank" or "Weekend-stay facility"
Rules & Requirements - Each resident must observe all curfews. No night shift or swing shift jobs are permitted.
- Each resident must prepare a Daily Itinerary for the next 24 hours.
- Each resident must sign-out and in when ever she leaves House of Hope. The sign-out/sign-in sheet will be compared to the Daily Itinerary prepared the previous day.
- Each
resident must attend at least five 12-Step meetings (AA/CA/NA/OA) per
week (more if court required) and obtain signed verification of their
attendance. Commonly known as a "Court Card"
- Each resident will be responsible for her chore daily.
- No drinking of Alcohol in any form (including mouthwash, Nightquil, candies, etc.)
- No Narcotics or any form of drug, including prescription medication.
- All Residents agree in advance to random drug & alcohol testing.
- No sexual materials of any kind. On any medium.
- No knives, firearms, or weapons of any kind.
- No sex or conjugal visits.
- No guest allowed in bedrooms.
- Disrespectful, foul, or undesirable conduct or behavior will not be tolerated.
Violation of any of these rules will result in immediate termination without refund of any rents paid.
Program II SOBER LIVING - WITH INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT TREATMENT.
For clients who may require intensive drug & alcohol counseling. Each
resident will abide by the Sober Living Rules under Program I and
attend 12 weeks of Intensive Outpatient Treatment, which includes:
- Four group counseling sessions per week - 48 total
- One individual counseling session per week - 12 total
- Seven 12-step meetings per week, evidence by a signed attendance card ("Court Card") - 84 total
- Random drug and alcohol testing
- Topics specifically tailored to the needs of women addicts include:
- The Disease Concept
- Relapse Prevention
- Anger Management
- Domestic Violence
- Parenting Improvement
- Big Book Study
After
completion of the 12 week Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program, the
client may return to Program I Sober Living status for the remainder of
her sentence.
Program III
RESIDENTIAL PRIMARY TREATMENT PROGRAM
This is an intensive inpatient residential treatment program under 24 hour custodial care. This is for clients who require a higher level of treatment and monitoring. The
women live in a home-style environment, share common household chores,
and prepare and participate in daily family-style sit down meals. The
women stay together as a group, are transported to and from 12-Step
meetings and community volunteer events in House of Hope vans. The women are not allowed to have a vehicle, laptop or PDA device at House of Hope. During the first thirty days (or longer) are not permitted phone calls or visitors.
The 120 day Intensive Inpatient Treatment Program includes:
- Four group counseling sessions per day
- One individual counseling session per week
- Five 12-step meetings per week
- Random drug and alcohol testing
- Topics specifically tailored to the needs of women addicts include:
- The Disease Concept
- Relapse Prevention
- Anger Management
- Domestic Violence
- Parenting Improvement
- Family Re-Unification
- Employment Counseling
- Community Volunteer Work
After
successful completion of the 120-day program may transfer to Sober
Living Program I level, or remain in full time custodial care in Program
III
Program IV
RESIDENTIAL PRIMARY TREATMENT PROGRAM – WITH ENHANCED MONITORING
This
program is for women who have been assigned to the Residential Primary
Treatment Program III, but for whom the court has mandated additional
monitoring and reporting requirements.
