How You Can Help
House of Hope is always seeking volunteers who, through their involvement and enthusiasm, can assist us with our mission. We offer many opportunities for service:
Volunteers with a variety of skills are needed in the following areas to work at the House of Hope:
- Dietitian or menu planner
- Food Shopper
- Tree Trimming
- Drivers to take clients to medical appointments and court appearances
- Computer/technology
- Sports/recreation (art, music, yoga, aerobics, etc.)
- and more! Let us know what special skill you may have to offer
Volunteer to work at Palos Verdes Resale in Lomita, as a House of Hope representative.
Support fundraising activities by joining The Alumnae or Las Esperanzas
- The Alumnae Group meets biweekly and raises money to provide recreational opportunities for our women. Alumnae also serve as mentors for women in the residential program. Membership is open to former House of Hope clients.
- Las Esperanzas meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month to socialize, have dinner, and plan fundraising events that are held throughout the year. The only requirement for membership is a desire to help!

Ralphs is committed to helping our communities grow and prosper. Year after year, local schools, churches and other non-profit organizations earn millions of dollars through our Community Contributions Program. The Ralphs Community Contribution Program was designed to make your fundraising the easiest in town by simply using your Ralphs rewards Card.
We invite you to register your Ralphs Rewards card with the Ralphs Community Contributions Program, specifying House of Hope (NPO #83509) as the recipient. Then, every time you use your Ralphs Rewards card when making purchases, House of Hope will receive a donation of 1 percent to 4 percent of your bill, depending on the amount of your monthly purchases.
To register:
- Click on the Ralphs logo.
- If you are not currently registered, do that first. If you are registered, then sign in to your account.
- Once your account is registered you will specify your Ralphs Rewards card or be given the chance to sign up for the card.
- Now you can choose Ralph's Community Contribution Program, use the ID #83509 to find House of Hope, and specify it as your chosen charity.
- The donation to House of Hope from Ralphs is then automatic.
